Phil

Originally from Germany (despite often being mistaken for South African), Phil brings a strong international leadership background to SmartGrass. He has managed multiple retail businesses across Sweden, the UK, Germany, and Switzerland, and is trained as an optician with a career rooted in people leadership, training, and development. Phil has lived in Switzerland for several years and previously spent time in New Zealand, giving him a global perspective and a strong appreciation for diverse teams and cultures. Outside of work, he’s a self-confessed coffee snob who loves specialty brews, hosting and cooking for family and friends, and spending time in colder climates, especially where there’s snow. He’s married with one son and enjoys making the most of the outdoors.
